A Japy Freres porcelain mantel clock, featuring Sevres porcelain and bronze, retailed by Bailey & Banks & Biddle, Philadelphia. The clock face bears the retailer’s mark, while the works are marked with "JAPY FRÈRES & CIE, MED. D’HONNEUR." Marks indicate the piece was made in Paris around 1860.
