Rare Pair of Byzantine Gold Earrings that are extensively adorned with intricate scrolls, 7th – 9th Century AD This stunning matched pair of gold earrings comprise a d-shaped openwork plaque extensively adorned with intricate scrolls, ropework borders, and an upper face further enhanced by filigree granules. Each plaque is seamlessly attached to an ear wire, forming a secure closure.
