Eduard Baldus, Signed Baldus ‘The Peace" Engraving Plate
The original "The Peace" engraving plate is attributed to Eduard Baldus, who signed the work. This plate was used to create engravings.
This artwork is the plate worked by the artist from which the engraved prints were made. B
ased on an earlier work by Raphael, a renowned artist from the Renaissance period. The plate also bears the inscription "Heliogravure E. Baldus" at the bottom center, indicating that it is a heliogravure. This printing process uses a copper plate to create an image.
