Pair of Vienna Secession side chairs designed by Otto Wagner (1841–1918) and produced by Jacob & Josef Kohn, model no. 721, circa 1902–1905. Curved stained wood and signed with both hot stamp and original publisher’s label.
Referenced in Catalogue of the House Jacob & Josef Kohn (Edition Verlag Dry, 1985) and in Curved Wooden Furniture by Karl Krämer (1984), these chairs were part of a rare set designed in 1902 for the newspaper offices of Die Zeit in Vienna.
