Charles de La Fosse (French, 1636–1716), Hercules and Omphale. Oil on canvas depicting the mythological scene with Hercules seated and Omphale playfully donning his lion skin. A putto stands beside them. Signed “Charles de la Fosse” in pencil on the stretcher. French School, early 18th century.
