Attributed to Puvis de Chavannes or his studio, Pastoral Scene, watercolor on paper, signed illegibly and dated 1887 lower left. This idyllic riverside gathering, possibly a preparatory study for a mural, features allegorical figures in a serene natural setting. The piece is mounted in an Empire-style antique frame with repoussé brass ornamentation and cabochon jewel accents
