Summary:
Joan Miró (Spanish, 1893–1983), Personnage et Oiseaux, color pochoir print on paper. According to the verso label, the work was produced in 1965 based on earlier 1963 designs and published by Pierre Matisse Gallery in an edition of 1,200. With a ‘Miró’ signature at the lower left. The composition features Miró’s characteristic biomorphic figure and bird imagery rendered in bold black forms with vivid red, yellow, blue, green, and violet. Signed lower left.
Verso label identifies the work as a 1965 pochoir and lists provenance including Pierre Matisse Gallery and Adele E. Shepard.
