Nicolas Simbari (Italian, 1927–2012), Maura, 1981.Large oil on canvas depicting a female figure against a vibrant abstracted interior of an artist’s studio, rendered in bold areas of blue, orange, yellow and white. Signed ‘Simbari’ lower right. Canvas also stamped 1983 Nicola Simbari verso. Accompanied by a Wally Findlay Galleries International, Paris Certificate of Guarantee identifying the work as Maura and confirming its inclusion in the artist’s original body of work, dated 1983. Findlay Galleries opened its luxurious Paris facility in 1971, this well respected firm has been in business for over a 150 years.
