Rene Buthaud circa 1930 signed mixed media pastel crayon and watercolor on paper depicting a goddess and her attendants in landscape, Provenance: The artist, collection Michel Fortin, Paris: Collection of Stephen Engel, Florida: Literature: Cruège, René Buthaud. 28.5"W x 36"H René Buthaud was seen as one of the most accomplished and important French artists of the Art Deco movement, an opinion held to this day. . Work by Buthaud can be found in the collections of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, among many others. Good condition. No visible tears a holes. No evidence of restoration.
