Description
Gustavsberg Kåge signed Argenta vase, circa 1935. The Argenta designs at Gustavsberg date to the 1930’s and were created under the direction of Wilhelm Kage. In 1930, Kåge exhibited his Argenta Series at the Stockholm Exhibition. The Argenta works were immediately successful and became highly collectable. Kåge’s work can be found in the National Museum and the Royal Library in Stockholm, the Industrial Art museums in Oslo, Copenhagen, Vienna, Budapest and Prague, and at the Metropolitan Museum in New York . Notably, he was awarded the Prince Eugen Medal in 1949. The vase is in good condition and measures approximately 6.75"H Gustavsberg Argenta vase by Cage circa 1935 6.5"
