Description
Chinese vintage/midcentury 4 section screen. It is hand painted, lacquered and set with carved hard stones. The screen illustrates a noble court scene with a visiting dignitary. The scene is set within the off white ground color in a moon-gate design motif opening to a stylized landscape all surrounded by clouds executed in gold lacquer on a black field, painted in the archaic style. It is in good condition with some wear and tear commensurate with age and use. It measures approximate 6’ x 6’.
