Description
Pablo Picasso, Spanish (1881 – 1973) Etching on Handmade Paper of Young sculptor at work. This work is a variant of a work for the Vollard Suite. It is printed on larger paper than usual and the image is reversed. Pencil Signed Lower Right.. Bears what appears to be a horseshoe and cross watermark Measures 11" x 9-5/8", overall measures 27-1/4" x 19-3/4". Condition: Very Light foxing along the borders, all else good condition. The Vollard Suite was a set of 100 etchings in the neoclassical style by the Spanish artist Pablo Picasso, produced from 1930-1937. Named for the art dealer who commissioned them, Ambroise Vollard, the suite is in a number of museums, and individual etchings from the suite are very sought after. good condition overall
