Description
Circa 1920s vintage Japanese handwoven silk formal crested furisode kimono, hand decorated with yuzen resist dyed design, surihaku metallic gold and metallic silver leaf accents and metallic gold couching embroidery. This kimono features chrysanthemum, hats of pine, Japanese maple leaf, plum blossom, bamboo leaf, iris, cloud, mist, river, mountain and architectural motifs. The clouds are accented in shochikubai and seigaiha pattern surihaku metallic gold leaf. It presents a yuzen resist dyed kamon crest and is lined in silk and yuzen resist dyed silk crepe.in good condition 52" sleeve span, 65" overall length. We are not kimono experts and will be limited with what we can answer.
