Wonderful Swan Motif covered serving bowl, in gold vermeil over silver circa 1880-1900. Elegant, finely chiseled fretwork which depicts a pair of swans holding a crown by their heads, resting on a motif adorned with exquisitely sculpted palmettes. The scrolled handles end in a leaf. The rim of the foot and lid is decorated with meticulously crafted friezes depicting foliage.
