Salvador Dali, Portrait of Picasso. Hand Signed Lithograph. Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso were two giants of 20th-century art, but their relationship was complex and multifaceted. Initially, Dali looked up to Picasso as a mentor and pioneer, even creating a lithograph of him, portraying him as "the emperor". However, their relationship gradually soured, partly due to Dali’s criticism of Picasso’s later, more abstract works and their differing political views.
