Salvador DALI (1904-1989). Portrait of Velasquez, Intaglio original etching on paper signed in the plate, framed. Authentication label on reverse. It is part of Dali’s "Spanish Immortals" series. The subject of the etching is the 17th-century Spanish Baroque painter Diego Velazquez, whom Dali greatly admired.
Dali’s etching combines his distinctive surrealist style with a tribute to the classical master.
