Adolphe De Mol (1834 – c.1880): "Mystical Marriage of Saint Catherine", oil on canvas painting.
Artist Bio: Born in Brussels in 1834, De Mol was a painter, draughtsman, watercolourist, engraver, and sculptor. He trained at the Brussels Academy from 1846 to 1860 under the tutelage of Navez and Calamatta. De Mol also received training in decorative painting on porcelain and glass from his father, Jean De Mol. He worked for notable companies such as Stevens and Boch. De Mol was a member of the Royal Belgian Society of Watercolourists from 1871 and the International Society of Etchers.
