Charles Clair Oil painting on Canvas signed lower left. *Elegants on the Beach* Charles Clair was a French artist who studied at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris and exhibited at the Salon in Paris. He was awarded a medal in 1913. Clair was known for his paintings of rural scenes.
Measurements: Art: 18 1/4 x 22 in. (46.4 x 55.9 cm.), Frame: 25 x 28 3/4 in. (63.5 x 73 cm.) approx
Condition: on relined canvas (traces of cracks and restorations)
