Vintage Ruth Orkin, Couple in MG, 1951 Gelatin Silver Print, Blindstamp Signature Lower right and Signed Mary Engel with Gallery Label on Verso. Measures 12"H x 17.5"W sight, 22"h x 27"W framed Ruth Orkin (1921–1985) was an American photographer, photojournalist, and filmmaker, with ties to New York City and Hollywood. Best known for her photograph An American Girl in Italy (1951), she photographed many famous personalities including Lauren Bacall, Doris Day and Marlon Brando.
