Description
This is an unusual oil painting, where many artists cooperated and where each created a postcard sized image(s) into a single work. Many are signed by that artist. Kirchner was a Viennese, Austrian artist well known and well respected as a portrait painter and illustrator best known for Art Nouveau and early pin-up work, especially in picture postcard format and early pin-up work, especially in the picture postcard format. These iconic Art Nouveau and Late Victorian pin-up works became known as the iconic, “Kirchner Girls”. His works have been and are held in the permanent collections of numerous public museums and private collections. Measures approx 19.5" x 22" Circa 1900. Origin Vienna, Austria
