Paul Jean Milet(French 1870 – 1950). Glazed ceramic art nouveau/art deco period vase with bronze mounts, circa 1925. Signed to underside of base.Born into a family of potters in the town of Sevres, he entered his father’s pottery workshop in 1894 where for the next 36 years, he created high-quality ceramics sought after by a Parisian clientele. His work is distinguished by the Art Nouveau movement influence and his early works favor floral motifs as well as very high-quality glazing work in vibrant colors. Dimensions:13" high x 9" wide x 5" deep.Condition is very good, having no visible defects.
