George Russin (American, 1910 – 2010). ‘Figures in a Theatre’. Oil painting on masonite, depicting couples watching an art deco period stage performance. Signed lower right, ‘Russin’. Undated.
George Russin was born in New York and exhibited frequently from the 1950’s through the 1980’s. Known for his figurative paintings and depictions of various cultures. In addition to painting, he was also a musician and a stained glass artist.
Canvas – 29 3/4" high x 24" wide. Frame – 35 1/2" high x 29 1/2" wide.
Condition: Very good. Frame having minor wear.
