Barbara Mastroianni, Contemporary Inlaid Waterfall Console Table with Leaf Motif
Barbara Mastroianni (Italian, 1951-2018). Contemporary waterfall form inlaid green and gold floral console table. Stained laminate ground, inlaid with green leaves. No labels or apparent signature. Provenance: Collection of Dante Ferretti & Francesca Lo Schiavo, academy award winning film production designers.
Mastroianni was the daughter of noted actor Marcello Mastroianni (La Dolce Vita, La Notte and Divorce Italian Style), and his first wife, Flora. Mastroianni. She collaborated with directors including Federico Fellini (And the Ship Sails On), Elio Petri (Buone Notizie), Ettore Scola (That Night in Varennes) and Mauro Bolognini (The Inheritance). She later became a wood artist, crafting original furniture which was exhibited in italy and abroad.
35 1/4" high x 41 3/4" wide x 11 3/4" deep.
Condition: Good but needs some restoration work. Some lifting of veneer to rounded areas to top that need to be re-glued.
