Description
Stunning 1890 Polyphon Music Box with Interchangeable Discs
The Polyphon music box, made around 1890, is in its original condition. It features a single comb and is housed in a stunning walnut veneered case with intricate inlay and marquetry on the lid. The Polyphon company was the inventor of disc music box technology and is also the parent company of the Regina Music Box company. This means that the discs used by both companies are interchangeable, making it easy to acquire additional discs in the future. The music box has a twin comb movement and can play 15.5 inch/39.5 cm discs, 16 of which are included. It also has a detachable winding crank and is in working condition. Key not present.

All lots are offered and sold "as is", and COLLECTive Hudson will not provide refunds based on condition. Timepiece movements, lighting and electrics have not been tested, and art has not been examined out of the frame unless otherwise stated.

COLLECTive Hudson does not provide any shipping or packing services. We will happily provide a list of recommended shippers who can provide shipping quotes prior to bidding. Shippers will also be listed on your invoice.
PAYMENT
All invoices totaling over $5,000 to be paid via wire transfer. All jewelry, watches and silver must be paid via wire. All Credit card transactions are subject to a 3.1% CC FEE. Absolutely no credit card transactions over the phone.
