Cubist Plaque tile, Liubov Popova
Tile Painted Cubist Plaque based off of the original oil on canvas by Liuboz Popya, 1913. This image is also the cover of Art of the Advant-Gardes book Published by Yale University Press in 2004.
Lyubov Sergeyevna Popova was a Russian painter and designer who was active in the early 20th century. She was a leading figure in the Russian avant-garde movement and was associated with the Suprematist movement, which sought to express the underlying principles of the universe through geometric forms. Popova was also involved in the design of set and costumes for the theater, and she worked on several important productions in Moscow and St. Petersburg. In addition to her work as a painter and designer, Popova was also involved in teaching and writing about art.

All lots are offered and sold "as is", and COLLECTive Hudson will not provide refunds based on condition. Timepiece movements, lighting and electrics have not been tested, and art has not been examined out of the frame unless otherwise stated.

COLLECTive Hudson does not provide any shipping or packing services. We will happily provide a list of recommended shippers who can provide shipping quotes prior to bidding. Shippers will also be listed on your invoice.
PAYMENT
All invoices totaling over $5,000 to be paid via wire transfer. All jewelry, watches and silver must be paid via wire. All Credit card transactions are subject to a 3.1% CC FEE. Absolutely no credit card transactions over the phone.
