Signed George Samuels (20th Century). Finely executed watercolor painting on paper of men working on a train engine at a station stop, circa 1940’s. Signed lower left, ‘Geo. Samuels’.
The train engine depicted is New York, Ontario and Western Railway Engine No.402.
George Samuels studied at the art students league. His works rarely appear on the open market.
Sight – 18" high x 28" wide. Frame – 24 1/2" high x 32 1/4" wide

The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition. Complete condition information is available by request, no later than 24 hours prior to the auction. All lots are offered and sold "as is", and COLLECTive Hudson will not provide refunds based on condition. Timepiece movements, lighting and electrics have not been tested, and art has not been examined out of the frame unless otherwise stated.
SHIPPING
COLLECTive Hudson does not provide any shipping or packing services. We will happily provide a list of recommended shippers who can provide shipping quotes prior to bidding. Shippers will also be listed on your invoice.
PAYMENT
All invoices totaling over $5,000 to be paid via wire transfer. All jewelry, watches and silver must be paid via wire. All Credit card transactions are subject to a 3.1% CC FEE. Absolutely no credit card transactions over the phone.
Condition: Not examined out of frame, but it presents as very good. Modern framing with lined mat. Minor wear to the moulding.
