Circa 1820 French Empire Mahogany Mantel Calendar Clock
Circa 1820, french empire mahogany mantel clock. Carved gilt wood eagle finial raised on mahogany case. The enamel and brass dial having arabic numbers with secondary date dial. Case having an arched pediment, applied brass decoration, lion mask handles, a mirrored lower back panel and paw feet. Base raised on stone feet. Unmarked time and gong strike movement. Pictured on page 122, of Arpads & Schmidt’s Az Ida Uria – Az Orak Nagykonyve.
Overall 18 1/2" high x 10 3/4" wide x 5 3/4" deep.
