Mettlach The Drinker on Mount Olympus , Mettlach No. 2089, .5 liter Beer Stein by H. Schlitt. Text reads: “Wenn einst Hebe kommt um mich zu frage ‘Wünschen Sie vielleicht Ambrosia?’ Ja wie kommst mir für! Bring Sie bayrisch Bier!” which translates to (When Hebe comes to ask me “Do you want Ambrosia?” Well what do you take me for! Bring me Bavarian beer!). Central image and text are taken from an illustration by Heinrich Schlitt (1849-1923), part of an 1890 mural that once graced the Wiesbaden Ratskeller, but was sadly destroyed in World War II.

Timepiece movements, lighting and electrics have not been tested, and art has not been examined out of the frame unless otherwise stated.

COLLECTive Hudson does not provide any shipping or packing services. We will happily provide a list of recommended shippers who can provide shipping quotes prior to bidding. Shippers will also be listed on your invoice.
PAYMENT
All invoices totaling over $5,000 to be paid via wire transfer. All jewelry, watches and silver must be paid via wire. All Credit card transactions are subject to a 3.1% CC FEE. Absolutely no credit card transactions over the phone.
