Very special figure in the Italian Baroque, he initially learned from Paggi in Genoa, then influenced by painters such as Bassano, Sinibaldo Scorza and several Flemish artists represented in the city, such as Van Dyck and Jan Roos. Later he expanded his training through numerous trips through Italian cities such as Rome, Naples, Venice or Mantua, enriching his style with Poussin’s classicism or the Baroque impetus of Rubens.
