Pierre Chareau Table Lamp Unsigned and Attributed
Vintage Pierre Chareau unsigned and attributed France, c 1923 iron, alabaster. This lamp was restored/rewired and is ready for use
Pierre Chareau designed this table lamp in 1926 in France. This style of shade became a common theme in other lighting elements created by this famous modern classic designer.
As early as 1900 Chareau began his artistic career as a student of the famous Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris where he focused on architecture and design. By the 1920’s he was already known in the design world for his complex structures and innovative use of architectural space. Pierre Chareau began to explore an interest in Cubist space by the mid-1920s and soon after his designs became highly sculptural.
12" × 10" × 8.75"
Condition: Good condition…Note: We found an additional shade that was repaired which leads us to consider that one of the alabaster shades may be replaced, but they seem to all match perfectly
