Large Egyptian sculpture of Amenhotep II or III carved stone head on wood base. Provenance: Collection of the late Basil W.R. Jenkins, California (1945-2020). Basil studied Byzantine Studies at U.C. Santa Barbara and at U.C. Los Angeles. After college he served as curator of the Fowler Museum in Beverly Hills for fifteen years. Approx 1,000 BCE

12 1/2" high (excluding base) x 7 1/2" wide x 3 3/4" deep. Base: 4" square.
