Description
French Art Nouveau Bronze Mounted Glass Bowl
No apparent markings.
A slag bowl is a decorative item made from slag glass, which is a man-made opaque base glass featuring marbelized swirls in various colors. This type of glass was commonly used to create bowls, compotes, vases, plant cache pots, and other items. The marbled effect in slag glass is traditionally produced using slag from iron smelting, giving it a unique and distinct appearance.
