André Gisson was a French-born American painter known for his Impressionist and Post-Impressionist style of art. Gisson’s works often depicted scenes of everyday life, landscapes, still life, and portraits, and they were characterized by their vibrant colors, loose brushwork, and a sense of atmospheric light.
Gisson moved to the United States in the 1940s, where he continued to paint and eventually gained recognition for his art. He became a U.S. citizen and settled in New York City, where he maintained a successful career as an artist.
