Description
Pair of Josef Hoffmann Vienna Secession Jugendstil Armchairs
Rare pair of rounded red and black lacquered wood armchairs with barred backrests, each with a backsplash with a frieze of stylized roses, carved and gilded on a black background in a cartouche.
Front feet with swollen reception.
Each seat includes its original cushion in black velvet with twisted piping, gold with the title motif in embroidered variation.
Renovation of the strapping and the seat with a black fabric and its braid, as originally.
Work of decorators from the Art Deco period, circa 1920.
Very beautiful original condition offering excellent comfort.
