Signed Georges Pierre Guinegault Oil on Canvas
Signed Georges Pierre Guinegault Ballerina Oil on Canvas. He was a member of the Société des Artistes Français* and exhibited extensively with this group. Guinegault painted many Orientalist* scenes, but is best known for his paintings of women. He painted seductive nudes, dancers and portraits of fashionable ingénues. His style is very similar to the works of Jean-Gabriel Domergue, and his signature is also similar.
