Description
Signed Tall Meissen Porcelain Figure of a Lady and Cherub on a Pedestal (both signed)
The porcelain figure depicted is a finely crafted Meissen piece showing a lady with a cherub. The lady stands gracefully, adorned with a floral patterned dress and a shawl or robe in purple draped around her lower body. Her head is crowned with a wreath of grapes and grape leaves, which she also holds in her hand. The cherub, with delicate wings, assists her by holding up part of the draped fabric. The base of the figure is circular, with intricate designs and decorative elements that mimic ropes and garlands in gold, green, and pink, set against a marbled texture.
