this is the Iconic image and portrait of Albert Einstein by Philippe Halsman. It is a silver gelatin print produced in 1979, labeled ’14/35′ in pencil. Philippe Halsman was an American portrait photographer. He was born in Riga the part of the Russian Empire which later became Latvia, and died in New York City. The back side of the photo has the Halsman / Einstein Centennial Edition copyright stamp, along with reproduction limitation markings. Halsman’s works have been the subject of numerous public and commercial gallery solo exhibitions around the world. Provenance: Bonhams
