Raimon Ricart Gouache Painting of Horse Race.
Bio: He was seventeen years old and working as a wall painter when marked by the influence of Gimeno and Miro he began to create his first works completely self-taught. Shortly after, having attended the School of Arts and Crafts in the Vallesan town – with teachers such as Antoni Vila Arrufat or Joan Vilatobà, among others – and the Sant Jordi School of Fine Arts in Barcelona, he decided to convert to painting. In 1941, at the age of 24, he had his first exhibition at the Academy of Fine Arts and it was a resounding success, he sold all the work on display.
