Late 19th century French School bronze sculpture, depicting a female nude holding an inverted jar, based on Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres’ famous painting “The Source.” The bronze is signed but unable to find any information on the artist. (Joly D Pingry or Pingre) The bronze, finished with a green patina, rests on a marble base and is inspired by the original artwork housed at the Musée d’Orsay in Paris.
