Rare Louis Majorelle (1859-1926) signed wonderfully Inlaid Art Nouveau vanity or desk crafted from mahogany and oak. This piece features a rectangular top with a curved front, adorned with exotic wood marquetry depicting bees and ferns. The coiffeuse includes a drawer with a gilt bronze handle, and its upper section boasts an adjustable mirror with a wavy design, detailed with marquetry irises, flanked by two circular shelves ending in sculpted floriform decorations. The ribbed “X”-shaped base is connected by a curved molded stretcher. Signed “L. Majorelle Nancy.”

Condition: Spectacular piece with wonderful inlays. Overall very good. Some rub marks along the edges and superficial surface scratches commensurate with age and use.
