Art Deco settee is a customary form and carved and attributed strongly to Paul Follot (no easily visible signature and therefore attributed). Beautifully upholstered. Early 20th Century.
Artist Bio: Follot has become known as one of the best Art Deco designers. He initially trained as a sculptor under the Swiss decorative artist Eugène Grasset and in 1901 he made decorative art objects for La Maison Moderne in Paris. Follot’s style developed from a gothic feel into art deco, producing stunning designs in silverware and furniture. He was also a founder of "L’Art dans Tout" and collaborated with various notable companies.
