Alexis Kreyder Flower Bouquet. Still Life on Artist Panel. Signed bottom left. Alexis Kreyder lived from 1839 to 1912.
Artist Bio: The French painter known for his still lifes of flowers and fruit, Alexis Kreyder moved to Paris in 1859 and worked for two to three years for the industry. Between 1863 and 1864 he worked with Théodore Rousseau Barbizon to support its decorative works for Prince Demidoff. Alexis Kreyder’s part in his first Salon in 1863 and exhibited for the next three decades. He received the medal in 1869, a second class medal in 1884 and a silver medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1889. Several of his paintings are in the Alsatian museums in Colmar, Mulhouse and Strasbourg.
