A finely crafted Art Nouveau walnut occasional table by Émile Gallé, circa 1900. The table features a double-plate design with carved and moulded legs. Its marquetry inlay includes botanical motifs and a Latin inscription: “Beati mites, quoniam ipsi possidebunt terram” (Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth – Matthew 5:5). The table is marked with Gallé’s early signature in the lower right corner.
Measurements: 30 x 24 x 36 in. (76.2 x 61 x 91.4 cm.) approx
