Artist Bio: Elie Miller-Ranson (1907 – 1989) was a French painter renowned for his vibrant and realistic depictions of flowers. Born in Mornac-sur-Seudre, France, he began painting at a very young age and pursued formal art education at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris and the Academie de la Grande Chaumiere. His artistic career was notably influenced by his time in French West Africa, where he created numerous works inspired by the landscapes and culture of the region.
