A rare curved wood Jugendstil settee, model no. 721, designed by Otto Wagner (1841–1918) and manufactured by Jacob & Josef Kohn, Vienna, circa 1902–1905. Stained bentwood with an openwork backrest and labeled underneath.
This piece was part of the complete set designed in 1902 to furnish the offices of a Viennese newspaper. Referenced in multiple scholarly works including Catalogue of the House Jacob & Josef Kohn (1985) and Edition Karl Krämer (1984). Signed w label Vienna, circa 1902-1905
