A finely rendered Old Master oil painting on canvas depicting the biblical meeting of Melchizedek, king of Salem, and Abraham as described in Genesis 14:18–20. Melchizedek is shown bringing out bread and wine and blessing Abraham as a priest of God Most High, declaring: “Blessed be Abraham by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth; and blessed be God Most High, who delivered your foes into your hand.”
Early work possibly 17th Century. Relined and stabilized
