Japy Freres antique French mantel clock featuring a movement by A. Maurel A Bordeaux. The clock is housed in a sculpture depicting Christopher Columbus holding a scroll, seated next to an anchor, horns wrapped in laurels, and tackle. The housing rests on elaborate victorian slate base adorned with foliage, face motifs, and fleur-de-lis patterns. Circa late 19th to early 20th century.
