Rene Buthaud, Art Deco Woman in Green Dress. Gouache and pencil on paper painting, signed lower right.
Artist Bio: Buthaud is considered one of the most accomplished and important French artists of the Art Deco movement and a significant ceramicist of the period. His works are part of collections at the Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, among others. Literature: Cruege, Rene Buthaud, see page 80.
