Aubrey Hammond (1893–1940), Theater. Art Deco signed with monogram period painting in acrylic and ink on paper, depicting a vibrant theatrical parade with stylized figures in costume. Monogrammed lower left. Circa 1930. Aubrey Hammond (September 18, 1893 – March 19, 1940), was a well respected English theatre practitioner. He worked as a set and costume designer in theatre and film and was a humourist, sought after as a book illustrator and commercial poster and advertising designer.
