17th century French School drawing in pen and brown ink with gray wash, depicting the victory of Godfrey of Bouillon against Egypt in the First Crusade. Unsigned. Closely follows a known composition by Nicolas Poussin, with another version held in the Royal Library at Windsor Castle (inv. 11882). This work may represent a preparatory study or workshop interpretation for that drawing.
